Villagers appeal govt to listen to their woes

Srinagar, Feb 20 (KNS): The residents of Shatmuqam village of Drugmulla area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district are up in arms against the Power Development Department (PDD) for ‘failing to make the installed transformer functional in the area’.
The residents while talking to KNS said that the authorities in the PDD department had installed the 100 KV transformer in their village almost one and a half year ago but has failed to make it functional.
“We are facing tremendous hardships due to the apathy of the officials in the department.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThe authorities must no ignore our plights and should take immediate measures to redress the genuine of grievances of villagers,” the aggrieved villagers said.
They said that the transformer was installed one and a half year ago but has not been made functional, which expresses the negligence of the authorities.
The inhabitants of the village later appealed the PDD higher ups to look into the matter and redress their genuine grievances at earliest. (KNS)
