Srinagar, Nov 07 (KNS): Despite passing a year of the killing of their son, the family of Gowhar Nazir of Zainakote HMT who was killed after paramilitary Centre Reserve Police Force (CRPF) allegedly opened fire on him on November 7 last year is still awaiting justice.
Nazir Ahmad Dar, father of Gowhar Nazir told KNS that it is unfortunate that the magisterial probe ordered by the government into the killing of his son has not yield any result.
“We have been waiting from day one for justice into the killing of my son. Despite passing one year, the government has failed to punish the killers involved in the killing of my son,” Dar said.
He said that the government must take up the case and punish the killers.
Dar, who is professionally a labour, told KNS that “I went from pillar to post to seek justice but unfortunately all in vein.”

Pertinently, 21-year-old engineering student, Gowhar Nazir Dar, was killed on November 7 last year in Zainakote in city outskirts hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi had addressed a rally at Sher-i-Kashmir Stadium.
The Government had ordered a magisterial inquiry into the whole incident to probe the killing of the youth. (KNS)
