Srinagar, Feb 24 (KNS): Despite passing a year since one hundred shops and Go-Downs were gutted in a blaze in North Kashmir’s Uri, the authorities so far have failed to rehabilitate the affected fire victims.
According to the KNS correspondent, one among the fire victims told KNS, “We lost everything in the mysterious blaze and following which the authorities assured us that we will be rehabilitated but unfortunately after passing a year now, the assurances proved prove hoax on the ground,”
He said that the tall claims over the rehabilitation of the fire victims by the administration has proved ‘hoax’.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“We appeal the administration to fulfill the promise done with the fire victims so that we can run our businesses again,” he said.
Pertinently, on this day in 2016, at least one hundred shops and Go-Downs were gutted in a blaze in North Kashmir’s Uri.
The shops located in main market Uri including Khawaja News Agency were gutted.
Reports said that the loss of property is in to crores of rupees. (KNS)
