Srinagar, Jan 04 (KNS): One more militant has been killed in the ongoing encounter that broke out between security forces and militants in Kulgam district today morning, taking the toll to two, police said here.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the encounter started between security forces and militants in Okay village this morning. 

He said that in the ensuing encounter one militant was killed, while operation was going on. “Later one more militant was killed, taking the total number of killed militants to two,” he said.

Meanwhile, Kashmir zone police, while quoting IGP Kashmir on its official Twitter handle, said that both the militants were locals and were affiliated with LeT.

He said that the duo was involved in several militancy related crimes. (KNS)
