Srinagar, Mar 06 (KNS): A civilian was killed while 21 others including a cop were injured in a grenade attack at Amira Kadal area of Srinagar on Sunday evening.
An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that suspected militants hurled a grenade near Amira Kadal area, in which 21 persons including a cop were injured.
He said that all the injured were evacuated to a SMHS hospital for treatment, where one of the injured succumbed to his injuries.
The official identified the slain civilian as Muhammad Aslam Makdoomi (70) of Makkdoom Sahib area of Srinagar.
Meanwhile, a police official said that the area has been sealed and searches have been launched to nab the attackers.
He said that further investigation into the matter is also going on. (KNS)
