Srinagar, Mar 09 (KNS): A person was dead, while at least 13 others were injured in a mysterious blast near Tehsil office in Udhampur district of Jammu division on Wednesday afternoon, reports said. 

 

Reports reaching Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that at least 14 persons were injured in a mysterious blast that took place near Tehsildar office in Udhampur this afternoon. 

 

They said that one among 14 injured persons succumbed to his injuries, while being evacuated to a nearby hospital. 

 

Meanwhile, Union Minister of State, Dr Jitender Singh while confirmed the incident took to Twitter and said that the blast took place around Rehri area in which one life was lost and 13 others were injured. 

 

He also said that he is in touch with DC Udhampur and exact cause and origin of the blast was being worked out. 

 

"Blast explosion around “Rehri” near Tehsildar office at #Udhampur. One life lost, 13 injured being moved to hospital. I am in touch with D.C Smt Indu Chib. Exact cause and origin of the blast being worked out. too early to draw any definite conclusion," he Tweeted. (KNS)
