Srinagar, Dec 09 (KNS): On the eve of “World Human Rights Day” Tehreek-e-Hurriyat on Friday organized several functions to press the world community about the rave human rights violation in Jammu Kashmir by Indian armed forces.
In a statement issued to KNS, the said, a protest function was organized in Hyderpora Jamia Masjid headed by Geelani personal secretary Peer Saifullah and Raja Mehraj-ud-din, Mohammad Yousuf Mujahid, Syed Zahoor-ul-Haq Geelani, Ab. Hamid Magray, Syed Imtiyaz Haider, Ishfaq Ahmad, Umar Aadil Dar, Rameez Raja, Sajad Ahmad, Ghulam Mustafa Parray, Nisar and others also participated in the programme.
The party has expressing its anguish over the silence maintained by world community on Kashmir issue saying it is highly sorrowful that killings, maiming and torture go unabated, people are subjected to extreme torture, women molested, innocents detained, properties razed to ground, yet there is no body to take care or look into the agonies and vows people are facing at the hands of forces.
The TeH in its appeal to international community sought their moral help and asked to impress India to fulfill their promise and ascertain the aspirations of people with regards to their political destiny.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
While furnishing the details about excesses committed by the state said that in recent months and within a short span of five months “more than 100 were killed, 10,000 arrested, 16000 injured, properties worth billions ransacked and people irrespective of age and gender are lodged in police stations, said Tehreek-e-Hurriyat”.
“It is shocking that trade and other interests find priorities but the blood spilled here and there attracts no intention and thereby encouraging killers and bold suckers to go unnoticed as there is no accountability despite the rhetoric about safeguarding of fundamental rights,” the party said.
Giving reference to the United Nation’s charter of “Universal Declaration of Human Rights”, TeH said that despite tall claims of equal treatment, they (Kashmiris) are being treated in most inhuman way.
“We appeal international community to come to our rescue and save us from, or we will perish unnoticed,” said TeH. (KNS)
