On World Animal Day Army organises awareness campaign at Mawar Valley

Kupwara, Oct 04 (KNS): An awareness campaign under the aegis of an Indian Army patrol was conducted at Mawar Valley to celebrate World Animal Day and raise awareness to advocate better treatment for animals.

In a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), a spokesperson said that invoking the religious perspective on treatment of animals, the campaign drew attention to the challenges faced by the diverse fauna especially in the impending harsh winters and urged all to rise against animal cruelty and take care of these sentient beings.

The statement reads that the participating youth pledged their commitment towards the well being and care of mankind’s oldest friend. (KNS)
