Khyber submits affidavit, documents

Srinagar, May 14 (KNS): Though the court directed the owners of food processing units to file affidavits and documents indicating that the food items they supply in the market are fit for human consumption, Khyber Agro Farms Pvt Ltd on Saturday submitted an affidavit and documents before High Court.
The documents in possession of KNS reveals that Khyber Agro Farms submitted an affidavit and documents of chemical labs, Micro biological lab in which all the equipments are functional.
“The two labs including chemical laboratory and Micro biological are having 16 and 20 equipments respectively, which are all functional,” documents reveal.
The farm submitted the reports of analysis and tests carried out on raw milk and processed milk. “The farm also submitted a registration certificate of ISO certifying that ISO 22000-2005 food safety management system is applicable to reviewing of raw milk, processing and packaging of poly packet milk, cream.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelWhite butter, curd, Paneer and Ghee,” document further reads.
Pertinently, Jammu and Kashmir High Court on April 27 directed owners of food manufacturing and processing units to file affidavits indicating the manner in which they follow provisions of Jammu and Kashmir Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.
Meanwhile, providing Khyber Agro Farms Pvt Ltd a breather, the latest lab report has given the milk production company a clean chit, as per the lab test documents.
The document in possession of KNS reveals that the Khyber milk and Dahi samples from Khyber Agro Farms Pvt Ltd “were found not to be adulterated”. (KNS)
