Srinagar, De 02 (KNS): Peoples Democratic Party MLC & District President Srinagar Mohammad Khurshid Alam on the directions of Chief Minister today called on Divisional Commissioner Kashmir to review the arrangements put in place for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) and facilities made for devotees who will be visiting the holy shrines during these pious days in the valley and Srinagar in particular.
During the meeting the party leader expressed his displeasure over the non-seriousness of the administration and lack of facilities at Ziyarat Sharief Shehri Kalashpora and Jinab Saheb Soura where people from various areas used to pay their obeisance and offer Nimaz during these days.
He also expressed his anguish over the poor health and sanitation facilities in these areas and urged for immediate measures to facilitate the devotees at all places in Srinagar. Alam urged to immediate men and machinery from SMC Srinagar be geared up for adequate sanitation at these places and providing of mobile toilets as well.
Alam also stressed on the need to provide uninterrupted power supply during these days and repairment of all defunct lights in Srinagar and other shrines.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He also urged immediate repairment of pathholes , choked drains and streets leading to the shrines and mosques and round the clock water supply in and around shrine premises so that devotees may not face any inconvenience while visiting these places.
Appreciating the administrative role of Divisional Commissioner Alam hoped that he will personally monitor the arrangements put in place for Milad un Nabi and ensure proper flooring and heating arrangements besides comfortable tents in and around these shrines during milad days.
He also stressed on the need of availability of sufficient stock of essential commodities including Rice, Sugar, Kerosene and Cooking gas for the occasion.
Divisional commissioner Kashmir assured Alam that all arrangements with adequacy will be put in place and monitored personally by him for better facility of the public. (KNS)
