Omar Kakroo President MC Baramulla likely to join Apni Party in Srinagar

 

Srinagar, Jan 29 (KNS): The president municipal council Baramulla Omar Kakroo is likely to join the Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party in Srinagar, sources said here.

Sources told the news agency "Kashmir News Service" (KNS) that MC president Omar Kakroo will Join Apni party in the presence of Muhammad Altaf Bukhari and other senior leaders in Srinagar and party will hold press conference today.

Political analysts say his joining Apni Party will help Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari led Party in Jammu and Kashmir to garner good number of votes in Baramulla from the corporators of different wards.

Omar Kakroo was also District president youth Congress for Baramulla.

Earlier the no-confidence motion was moved against Kakroo on 9th January 2021 in which 11 out of 12 polled votes went against him, but Jammu and Kashmir High Court has stayed the no-confidence motion against Omar Kakroo.

The J&K High Court order then said, Omar Kakroo would continue to be as President Municipal Council Baramulla till final decision is not received from High court regarding the no-confidence motion which was also moved earlier and later withdrawn.

Earlier, On Friday a DDC member, Mohammad Yaseen Rather from Panzinara-A  territorial constituency of Srinagar joined the JKAP at party office in Lal Chowk.(KNS)
