Omar frustrated with Modi’s liberal funding to J&K: BJP

Jehangir asks NC leader to seek forgiveness for his grandfather’s ‘sins’

Hitting hard at NC working president Omar Abdullah for “insulting” Kashmiris saying that financial package in offing by New Delhi was to buy them, BJP spokesman Khalid Jehangir Tuesday said the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to ensure development of J&K through liberal funding has “frustrated” the former chief minister.
“NDA government liberal financial support to J&K has frustrated Omar. Modiji is committed to ensure their overall development of the state,” Jehangir said in a statement here.
Blaming Omar of considering himself as “only intelligent person” in Kashmir, the BJP spokesman said that the NC leader should keep this thing in mind that time of NC’s ‘hegemony and arrogance’ has gone, and Kashmiri youth is more intelligent and dynamic to separate the wheat from the chaff.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“NC’s frustration is palpable from the fact that its working president acts as an accountant and at times as a CID officer and sees who attends which an Iftaar party where,” Jehangir said.
He added that instead of making insulting remarks about the people of J&K, “Omar should seek forgiveness for what his grandfather Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah has done with the people of J&K.”
“It was Sheikh Abdullah, who first befooled people by launching ‘Quit Kashmir’ Movement and later became PM with the help of those people against whom he had launched the movement. Omar and his father Farooq Abdullah are progenies of the same man. But they cannot hoodwink people for long,” he claimed.
