Old dump of arms, ammo recovered in Handwara village: Police

 Handwara, March 12 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir police on Sunday said it recovered old dump of arms and ammunition in Shalnar Hangnikoot area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. 


In a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), a spokesperson said a search was conducted by Handwara Police in Shalnar Hangnikoot on Saturday, during which an old dump of arms and ammunition was unearthed.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

The statement reads arms and ammunition include an AK 47 rifle with 2 magazines, 75 rounds, 10 grenades, 26 UBGL grenades, 8 UBGL boosters, 2 flame throwers, 5 Rocket shells and 3 rocket boosters. 

It reads an FIR no. 19/2023 has been registered at Police Station Vilgam under relevant sections of law and investigation has been initiated. (KNS)
