Srinagar, Aug 16 (KNS): Terming the August 15 as a “Day of Bloodbath”, the incarcerated chairman of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah on Tuesday lashed out at the so-called rulers for proving themselves innocent and justifying the civilian killings.
In a statement issued to KNS, Shah said people’s reaction to the August 15 is an eye-opener for India and its puppets who are yet to digest the bitter reality of Kashmir.
He termed it a joke to observe the Independence Day after turning the whole State into a military garrison. “What Independence Day can it be called when bullets are showered into the chests of civilians and people caged into their homes? Indian puppets should bear in mind that the people of Jammu Kashmir were/are never interested in the India’s Independence Day. Every subjugated nation considers it treason with the blood of martyrs to be part of the celebrations of the colonial power,” he said.
Rejecting the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remark that Kashmir is an integral part of India, Shah challenged him to hold a plebiscite in order to know the referendum of the people of Jammu Kashmir.
Commenting over the killing of a teenager Muhammad Yasir Sheikh in Batamaloo, Shah said: “What was the crime of this innocent boy? Is it done in order to please the masters in Delhi?”
Castigating Mehbooba Mufti for covering up the crimes of forces by providing wrong figures, the DFP chairman said the martyrdom of more than 72 civilians clearly nullifies the so-called chief minister’s claims that present uprising is sponsored by a handful of people.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Shah termed it a blot on the face of government the killing of four people Muhammad Ashraf Wani, Javaid Ahmad Najar, Manzoor Ahmad Lone, Javaid Ahmad Sheikh in Beerwah, Budgam and Aamir Ganaie of Larkipora, Islamabad, by forces. “Despite the unabated killings, the government doesn’t feel a bit remorseful but has given a free license to its forces to kill and unleash a reign of terror,” he said.
Shah termed it ridiculous the statement of Mehbooba Mufti that people are scared of children (youth) not forces saying, “Who massacred the innocent civilians, maimed and blinded hundreds of children, attacked ambulances and harassed medicos, arrested thousands of youth. We challenge Mehbooba Mufti and all pro-India elements to allow people to assemble peacefully and see whose side they are.”
Shah strongly condemned the use of brute force and atrocities unleashed by forces upon the people on August 15 saying on one hand crocodile tears are being shed and drama of ordering probe into the killings is being staged.
Reacting against the government’s defying of a police officer involved in the killing of a Tengpora youth recently, Shah said killers are being deliberately shielded while as the ordering of probes is just an eye-wash.
Meanwhile, a DFP spokesperson expressed grief over the martyrdom of a youth Ishfaq Ahmad Bhat of Tangmarg and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family while reiterating pledge of taking the mission of martyrs forward. (KNS)
