India trampling democratic rights of Kashmiris

Srinagar, Jan 23 (KNS): While terming India as ‘non-democratic country’, Chairman of Democratic Liberation Party (DLP), Hashim Qureshi on Saturday said that the people of disputed Jammu and Kashmir are being deprived from right to freedom.
In a statement issued to KNS, Qureshi said that from past 6 decades, with snatching rights from the people, India is flagrantly violating the norms of democracy in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Despite India celebrate January 26 as festival; the people of Kashmir are being forced to face immense hardships with arrest spree of youth, intensifying frisking and using batons against them,” he said.
