Srinagar, Sept 08 (KNS): National Students Union of India (NSUI) Srinagar chapter has condemned the attack on a Kashmiri student in Noida recently.
In a statement issued to KNS, Zaman irshad, District president NSUI Srinagar said, “Mudasir Rasool had registered in NSDC sponsored Udaan project for Jammu and Kashmir students. It is very saddening that while Mudasir had registered with one company Vision India Services pvt Limited under Udaan, he was misbehaved with, abused and physically assaulted by the company employee because of him being from Kashmir.”
“To add to his insult, police in Noida Police station forced him to make compromise with his assaulters, denying his request to file an FIR.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelIt is very disheartening that while the Union Home Minister claims that Kashmiris deserve the freedom that all Indians enjoy, a Kashmiri student was assaulted in the capital city,” he said.
The NSUI Srinagar president requested the Union Home Minister and Chief Minister to take a strong note of such incidents, and ensure the safety of Kashmiri students studying outside state. “It is incidents like this that widen the gap of alienation among the youth of Kashmir,” he said. (KNS)
