Srinagar, Jan 23 (KNS): National Students Union of India (NSUI) district President, Srinagar chapter Zaman Irshad Monday condemns the recent statement of BJP MLA regarding the Vice Chancellor of University of Kashmir, terming it unfortunate.
In a statement to KNS Irshad said that such statements should noy have come against the Vice Chancellor of the institute, that is the highest seat of learning in the state. "It seems that the MLA is ignorant of the stature of Vice Chancellors office. His statement reflects his mentality and of his party towards Kashmir," Irshad said.
"If this is the case with Vice Chancellor, what should we expect for common people. How can the government balance idea of Kashmiryat with such mentality," he asked.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The NSUI J&K strongly condemned the MLA's statement, and demanded an apology from him. "Such statement regarding the Vice Chancellor is not acceptable to the student community," Irshad vowed.
The issue of peeling of tints from the vehicle of Vice- Chancellor of University of Kashmir had echoed in Legislative Assembly on Saturday as BJP MLA Ravinder Raina said the former could have carried a bomb in his vehicle.
The BJP MLA while speaking during the discussion on the Motion of Grants of the Education department, said the Dy Superintendent of Police (Dy SP) should be appreciated for discharging his duties the way he did. (KNS)
