NSS Volunteers of GDC Tanghdar Starts Digital Social Awareness campaign to overcome & combat Covid-19

Karnah, May 25(KNS) The national service scheme (NSS ) volunteers of Govt. Degree College Tangdhar under the patronage of Principal Dr. G.M. Lone and guidance of NSS Programme Officer Dr. Parvaiz Ahmad have started a Digital Social Awareness campaign to overcome and combat COVID-19.

A press Statement issued by College admin to Kashmir News Service (KNS) reads 'The campaign is started under “Young Warrior Movement” which is a joint initiative of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and UNICEF India.

The NSS Volunteers registered as “Young Warrior” have taken a pledge to protect themselves, their families and neighbours against COVID-19 by motivating them to follow COVID appropriate behaviour and getting vaccinated. NSS programme Officer Dr. Parvaiz Ahmad conducted virtual interactions with volunteers to motivate and guide them in carrying out digital social awareness programme.

Principal of the college Dr. G.M. Lone lauded the role of NSS volunteers who have taken the pledge to become “Young Warriors” and helping their families, friends and neighbours to come out of this pandemic.(KNS)
