Srinagar, May 05 (KNS): Noted writer, social reformer and poet, Nazir Jawhar Lone from Sogam locality of Lolab in Kupwara district passed away at his residence in Friends Colony Srinagar on Thursday.
Family sources told Kashmir News Service (KNS) Nazir Lone passed away after a pro-longer illness at his Srinagar residence.
They said that his Namaz-e-Jinaza will be held at his ancestral village in Sogam area of Lolab at 12:30 pm tomorrow.
Notably, Nazir was the father of National Conference district president for Kupwara, Qaiser Jamshed Lone.
Nazir Lone was also the brother of late Mushtaq Lone from Kupwara.
Meanwhile, many social and political organisations have condoled the demise of Nazir Jawhar Lone and have expressed sympathy with the bereaved family. (KNS)
