Jammu Kashmir is not a border or territorial dispute between India and Pakistan, but about the future of millions of humans living in Jammu Kashmir, said JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik in a statement issued here today.
“Kashmiri know that the problems could only be resolved through dialogue process but parties engaged in the process should have magnanimity, seriousness and will to resolve disputes and issues,” he said.
The statement added that JKLF has decided to send a delegation comprising its vice-chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi and secretary general engineer Ghulam Rasool Dar Eidi to Delhi on the occasion of arrival of national security adviser of Pakistan Sartaj Aziz. This was stated by the chairman JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik while talking to media after the conclusion of JKLF meeting that was held to discuss the invitation of Pakistan high commission.
Giving details of the meeting, JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik said that JKLF has decided to send a high level delegation comprising of vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi and secretary general engineer Ghulam Rasool Dar Eidi to Delhi on the occasion of arrival of national security adviser of Pakistan Jenab Sartaj Aziz Sahib. He said that people of Kashmir have full faith in the fact that only talks and negotiations can resolve the disputes and issues but for that parties engaged in the process should have magnanimity, seriousness and strong will to resolve issues.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said that if India and Pakistan want to resolve issues and are serious to resolve Kashmir dispute, they should accept the ownership and prime party status of people of Jammu Kashmir and include them on the negotiation table. He said that these nations may be very strong and powerful but they cannot decide about the future of a living nation called Kashmir bilaterally.
He said that Kashmiris have sacrificed their millions for the cause of freedom and till date Kashmiris are rendering valuable sacrifices for this cause. Yasin Malik said that resolution of Jammu Kashmir dispute can only be achieved through tripartite talks and sooner India and Pakistan realize this reality better will be this for the peace, prosperity and welfare of the whole sub-continent. He said that to convey this message strongly, JKLF has decided to send a high level delegation to Delhi on the occasion of arrival of Pakistani security and foreign adviser Jenab Sartaj Aziz. This delegation will comprise of vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi and secretary general engineer Ghulam Rasool Dar Eidi.
This is worth to mention that JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik and vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi was today morning arrested by police but after one hour they were set free. (KNS)
