Srinagar, Aug 31 (KNS): The Northern Army Commander Lt Gen DS Hooda today called upon the Governor NN Vohra during his day long visit to the Valley and discussed the prevailing situation. The Governor was apprised of the measures taken by the Army along the LC and hinterland to ensure security as also to restore normalcy.
Earlier in the day, the Army Commander, accompanied by the Chinar Corps Commander, Lt Gen Satish Dua, also visited Khanabal and Haiderbeg where he interacted with the officers and men and took firsthand account of the ground situation.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelDuring his interaction, while he stressed on the continued need for positive engagement with the people to alleviate their hardships and help bring back normalcy at the earliest, he also impressed upon all to re-invigorate the security matrix in conjunction with other government ¬¬¬ agencies.
The Army commander also reiterated his appeal to the Awaam to maintain calm and contribute towards restoration of peace in the Valley. (KNS)
