Beerwah, Oct 27 (KNS):Residents of Beerwah town of Central Kashmir Budgam District on Tuesday stages protest Against Acute Shortage of Drinking Water in the town.

According to Kashmir News Service Correspondent the People hits Beerwah Magam road and Blocked the vehicular movement leaving hundreds of vehicles stranded.

Manzoor Ahmad a protester said " we had made several plights to higher authorites but everytime we are being ignored." our women has to walk near about one kilometer to fetch water, he further added.

Another local said "We are being supplied water from nearby plant but it remain defunct from past one year resulting the acute water shortage to the town.

When KNS contacted Executive Enginer Jal Shakti Department Gurmeet Singh he said he will look i to the matter and assured it will be redressed soon (KNS)
