Srinagar, Jan 7 (KNS): Dismissing speculations over PDP President Mehbooba Mufti taking over as the next chief minister of the state this evening, a senior PDP leader said that “there is no truth in the speculations”.
“There is no truth in the speculations of Mehbooba Mufti taking oath as CM tonight. The process of taking oath has not started yet.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelWe are in mourning,” the leader, who is close to the party president, told KNS.
“As per constitution, we have 24 hours left till tomorrow evening,” he said.
Speculations are rife that Mehbooba will be taking oath tonight following the death of chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed at AIIMS in New Delhi today morning. (KNS)
