Srinagar ,12 April (KNS): In order to review the stock and supply positions of
different agro chemicals in the valley and to ensure that all the sale and purchase proceedings are properly done through Point of sale Machines (POS), Director Agriculture Kashmir Chowdhary Mohammad Iqbal held a virtual meeting with all concerned district officers and senior officers of the department.

While speaking via virtual mode Director Agriculture impressed upon the
concerned officers that sufficient quantity of different types of chemical fertilizers should be ensured at all the sale outlets of the Valley.

Director Agriculturehighlighted the importance of quality fertilizers. He asked the stakeholders that all the established norms should be followed in letter and spirit in order to maintain the availability of standard fertilizers.

Chowdhary reiterated the commitment of working for the welfare and
wellbeing of farming community. He directed the enforcement wing of the
department to strengthen the monitoring mechanism and intensify the market checking drive so that the quality inputs are made available to the farmers and growers.

The meeting was attended by Joint Director Apiculture and Mushroom
Farooq Ahmad Shah, Joint Director Extension M. Qasim Gani, Assistant Director Law Enforcement Sheikh Imran and all the district agriculture officers and officers of law enforcement agency attended the meeting virtually.(KNS)
