No change in second report of Delimitation Commission: Hasnain Masoodi

Srinagar, Feb 05 (KNS): National Conference Member of Parliament from Anantnag, Hasnain Masoodi on Saturday said that second draft which has been sent to them by the Delimitation Commission has no changes in it, which were sought by the MPs after first draft report.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Masoodi said that the draft has been framed against the rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir as the seats have been divided in a one-sided manner and no changes have been incorporated in the second report as well.

He said that second draft has been sent to five Members of Parliament, who are part of the Delimitation Commission and they have been asked to submit recommendations, if any, to the commission by February 14.

Masoodi said that all MPs had asked the commission to revise their decision of seats being allotted to both regions and not to arbitrarily decide seats allotment. "However, they have not agreed to our demands and have presented the 2nd report with no changes in seat allocation." (KNS)
