Bandipora, August 29(KNS): Founding member of the People's Conference Nizamuddin Bhat on Tuesday appealed the Lieutenant Governor Administration and district administration Bandipora to review the decision with regard to the location of medicinal and aromatic plant nursery in Bandipora.
In a statement issued to media, Bhat said the district administration has identified land in Sumbal area for the establishment of medicinal and aromatic plant nursery in the district though it's close Srinagar and other similar nurseries.
He said the majority of the public opinion suggest the same be established in Bandipora keeping in view it's peculiar geographic location.
Bhat said Bandipora is now coming up as a Hill unit with Lolab at one end and Tulail and Kangan at another end besides having some of the old traditional routes including silk route connecting Kashmir to Central Asia.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Bhat appealed LG to have this particular institution placed at a convenient place with futuristic vision.
He said in today's order there is no scope for political intervention. "There is no audience . Administration has a claim they decide public issues on merit, Grievance cell does not take into account complaints and any representation to LG gets routed back to administration".
"We have faith that Deputy commissioner takes note of public concern on this issue and expect review in larger interest of institutional placement on determined criteria".(KNS).
