Bandipora, Nov 18 (KNS): Former MLA Bandipora Nizamuddin Bhat has expressed dismay over the apathy of Railway authorities towards the family of victim Yaqoob Dar from Shahgund Sonawari who died in an accident at Budgam Railway track three days before.
Bhat today visited the bereaved family to offer condolences and expressed sympathy with them.
In a statement, issued here, Bhat said it was painful to note that Railway authorities and administration had not visited them to give some relief to mitigate the intensity of the tragedy meted out to poor family.
Bhat said Yaqoob, 21, was making his earning as a salesman in Budgam, to meet the tragic end.
He appealed to the LG to grant ex-gratia to the victim family whose bread earner was lost.
Meanwhile, he has also appealed to DC Bandipora to take up the issue with the concerned authorities.(KNS)
