Nine injured in Pahalgam road accident

Pahalgam July 30 (KNS): Nine persons sustained injuries after a vehicle they were travelling skidded off the road and plunged into a river at Pahalgam area of South kashmir's Anantnag district, officials said here on Saturday. 

The officials told Kashmir News Service (KNS), that the accident took place near sangam area of Pahalgam after a passenger vehicle bearing registration number JK01F-4391skidded off from the road and plunged into the river. 

In the incident, the officials said that nine people sustained injuries and they were evacuated to GMC Anantnag for treatment. 

Medical superintendent GMC Anantnag, Dr iqbal Sofi also confirmed to KNS that nine people with multiple injures were brought to the hospital for treatment. However, he said that the condition of all the injured is out of danger. 

Meanwhile, the vehicle was completely damaged in the accident, the official said, adding, police have registered a case and further investigation is on. (KNS)
