Srinagar, June 13(KNS): The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has confiscated the property belonging to Ayaz Akbar, a detained leader of the Hurriyat (G) in the Shalteng area of Srinagar.
An official said that the NIA officials took action by affixing a notice of attachment on the immovable property.
The notice, pasted on the property, informed the public about the attachment of the land measuring 1 Kanal and 10 Marias under Survey No, 31 at mauza Shalteng Tehsil Srinagar (J&K).Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The property, registered in the name of Muhammad Akbar Khanday, father of Ayaz Akbar, is located in Malora near Imam-ul-Bana Masjid, P.S Parimpora, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. The attachment was carried out under the Court Orders dated May 31, 2023, in RC-101 20177 NIA/DLI by the Special NIA Court at Patiala House Courts, New Delhi.
Notably, Ayaz Akbar has been serving his detention in Tihar Jail, New Delhi for the past six years.(KNS)
