NIA raids 14 locations in J&K, Punjab and Delhi

Srinagar, Dec 24 (KNS): The National Investigation Agency on Saturday conducted searches at 14 different locations in Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir and Delhi in a militancy related case. 


According to statement the case relates to militant activities of chiefs and members of militant organizations, such as Khalistan Liberation Force, Babbar Khalsa International, International Sikh Youth Federation etc.

“Such activities include smuggling of militant hardware, such as arms, ammunition explosive, IEDs etc. across international borders, for use by operatives and members of militant outfits and organized criminal gangs operating in various parts of the country for carrying out militant acts like bomb explosions, targeted killings,” the statement reads.

It reads this case was registered suo-moto by NIA on 20-08-2022 as RC 37/2022/NIA/DLI and during the searches conducted today, incriminating materials, including digital devices and documents have been seized.

As per the statement, further investigations in the case were in progress. (KNS)
