NIA arrests IPS officer for leaking secret data to LeT

Srinagar, Feb 18 (KNS): The National Investigation Agency has arrested an IPS officer AD Negi for allegedly leaking secret data to Lashkar-e-Toiba militant outfit through an Over Ground Worker in Jammu and Kashmir.

Reports reaching Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that NIA arrested former decorated investigator IPS AD Negi for allegedly leaking data to activist booked under UAPA.

They said that the case pertains to widespread network of OGWs of LeT, for providing support in planning and execution of militant activities in India. 

“During investigation the role IPS Negi SP posted at Shimla after he was repatriated from NIA, was verified and his houses were searched. It was also found that official secret documents of NIA were leaked by Negi to another accused person who is an OGW of LeT in the case,” they said. (KNS)
