Anantnag, Nov 7 (KNS): Managing Mission Director, National Health Mission (NHM), Athar Aamir Khan, chaired a comprehensive review meeting at Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag to assess the implementation and progress of various healthcare schemes under the mission across the district.

The meeting, held at the conference hall of GMC Anantnag, focused on the performance of healthcare institutions, achievement of targets and measures required to strengthen healthcare delivery at the grassroots level.

During the meeting, Khan sought detailed feedback from Block Medical Officers (BMOs) regarding the implementation of NHM schemes in their respective jurisdictions and reviewed the progress achieved against assigned targets.

He directed the officers to accelerate the implementation of ongoing schemes and ensure that all stipulated targets are achieved well within the prescribed deadlines.

He also directed NHM managers across all blocks to ensure a patient-friendly environment in healthcare institutions, stressing that improving patient care and the quality of healthcare services must remain a priority.

Khan underscored the importance of dedication, honesty and professional commitment among healthcare officials, urging them to discharge their responsibilities sincerely to ensure effective delivery of health services to the public.

Earlier, Chief Medical Officer Anantnag presented a detailed overview of the implementation status and progress of various schemes under the National Health Mission in the district.

The meeting was attended by Principal GMC Anantnag, State Nodal Officer NHM, Block Medical Officers and programme managers from different blocks of the district. (KNS)
