Bandipora, Apr 01 (KNS): Echoing the ongoing protests across Jammu and Kashmir, employees working under the National Health Mission (NHM) in Bandipora on Wednesday staged a peaceful sit-in protest at the premises of District Hospital Bandipora.

Scores of NHM employees assembled within the hospital premises and commenced a 48-hour sit-in, demanding immediate redressal of their long-pending issues. The protest remained calm and disciplined, with employees raising slogans and highlighting their concerns collectively.

The protesting employees reiterated their key demands, including pay revision on par with other states, a secure job policy, and implementation of social security benefits such as EPF, ESI, insurance coverage, and post-retirement support.
