Baramulla, Feb 02 (KNS): Newly elected president of Baramulla Working Journalists Association (BWJA) Gulzar Ahmed Zargar took oath and announced executive body and executive council of the association in general body meeting held at Dakbanglow Baramulla.
After taking oath administered by Chairman BWJA Karamat Qayoom, President Gulzar Ahmed Zaragar announced his executive body as Vice president Anzar Mehjo Mirror of Kashmir, General Sectary S.Tahir-ul-Haq Early Times, Secretary Sajad Hussain Pir Etv, Joint Sectary Ghulam Hussan Sopore Chattan, Chief Spokesman Reyaz Rashid Kashmir Images, Publicity Sectary Mushtaq Wani Kashmir Reader, Organizer Abid Nabi Excelsior/ANI, Coordinator Shahid Imran KBC and Treasure Iqbal Amin KNS.
Zargar was elected as president in presidential elections 2016 on held on Saturday at Dakbanglow Baramulla in which 52 journalists of Baramulla district participated.
While as executive council having representation from Tehsil level was announced as Nissar Ahmed Yatoo of ABP/Kashmir Tehelka and Ishfaq Nabi from Kashmir Clarion from Baramulla, Lateef Bhat KNS and Shabroz Malik.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Tameel Irshad Pattan, Ghulam Mohammed Bhat Greater Kashmir and Suhail Khan of Kashmir Glory from Sopore, B. A Sagar of Kashmir Images and Syed Mushtaq Ahmed Indian Times from Tangmarg, Majid Sheeri from Sheeri and Zaffar Nabi from Uri.
Large number of members of including former president, vice president and other senior members of the association were present on this occasion.
The election process was conducted by Chief Election Observer District Information Officer Nisar Ahmed Wani while as Kashmir Images’ North Kashmir Bureau Chief Reyaz Rashid was Returning Officer who was flanked Assistant Returning Officer Bashir Ahmed Sofi from information department.
BWJA president Gulzar Ahmed assured that he will fight and work for resolving problems and issues of the journalists working in the district. (KNS)
