Srinagar, April 02 (KNS); Farooq Mir has strongly condemned to the new domicile law introduced recently by central Govt and termed it as injustice and a cruel joke to the people of Jk as the law offers none to protection of govt jobs in the UT of J&K that was promised.
Several artificial and hoax statements made by BJP and Govt especially post 5th August regarding domicile and protection of jobs, were just blatant lies that exposed the callous attitude of govt towards UT of JK.
A statement issued to KNS reads, People of JK felt it as treacherously abandoned of their exclusive rights and the new domicile law surfaced amidst of COVID-19 outbreak crisis when the entire country is passing through a strict lockdown. Govt jobs were the only viable opportunity to youth of J&K in view of non existence private sector owing to prolonged political instability of the region.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelYouth of Jammu and Kashmir was shown a cosmetic pictures after bifurcation of the state into two UTs and were promised that their rights to jobs shall not be affected and rather a lot of jobs would be created in private sector. But now youth feels cheated as all the gazetted and higher posts, would rather be shared with outsiders eligibile under new provisions except inferior posts of level fourth.
Farooq Mir stresses, new domicile should be called off as it will have serious implications and provisions should be made towards the protection of land and Govt jobs for the youth of JK under the constitutial guarantees besides the restoration of statehood (KNS)
