Srinagar, Feb 01 (KNS): Independent legislature Er. Rasheed has said that the developments happened in State Assembly have again proved that the house is being controlled by secret hands and it hardly makes a difference to follow the rules and procedures or to respect the sentiments of people.
In a statement issued to KNS, Er. Rasheed today in assembly said that, “the drama over Mehbooba Mufti’s remarks should be seen in the context what has been happening in the Assembly since long time”.
He said “While government of India is giving the perception that Hafiz Syed has been kept under House arrest to initiate a meaningful dialogue between India and Pakistan to resolve J&K dispute, but on other hand New Delhi is making Assembly to create a situation that gives a notion as if J&K dispute is only about protecting article 370 and people of J&K need or deserve nothing beyond that.”
Lashing out on NC and congress, Rasheed said that they have every right to make hue and cry over speaker’s role and take to streets in secretariat premises, they need to answer how then speaker had shamefully disgraced the house by sabotaging resolution seeking clemency for Afzal Guru.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Er Rasheed added, “The foundation of unconstitutional proceedings and episodes has been laid by none other than NC and Congress in the past and all the major parties are doing politics of convenience that suits to their vested political agenda.”
He alleged that the decision to adjourn house sine die is a move to dilute the real dispute, facilitate PDP in befooling people of Kashmir in Anantnag and Srinagar Parliamentary by poles by claiming that we have taken BJP head on over Article 370 and to facilitate BJP in impressing radical Hindu Voters in UP, Punjab and elsewhere by claiming that they have challenged and confronted Mehbooba Mufti for her remarks on Article 370.
