Srinagar, Sep 7: The UGC-Human Resource Development Centre (HREC), University of Kashmir, organised a webinar on ‘National Education Policy-2020: Changing Role of Teachers’.
The webinar was organised to sensitise the participants, including faculty and scholars from universities and colleges, about the changing role of teachers in the context of NEP-2020.
Prof Mohi-ud-Din Sangmi, Head, Department of Commerce, was the guest speaker at the webinar who emphasised that teachers working in higher educational institutions should work with zeal to implement the vision of NEP-2020 to achieve better academic results.
The webinar was part of ‘Shikshak Parv’ celebrations of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, from 5-9 September.
The HRDC invited eminent speakers to deliver talks on the webinar theme. These include Prof A M Shah, former Dean Academic Affairs KU; Prof Mohammad Ashraf, former Principal, Higher Education Department, Jammu and Kashmir; Prof Nasrin, Department of Education, Aligarh Muslim University and Prof Mohammad Akhter Siddiqui, Former Chairperson NCTE, New Delhi.
Dr Habibullah Shah, Assistant Professor, Directorate of Distance Education KU, welcomed the guest speaker and participants.(KNS)
