Negligence of Tipper Driver Kills 18 Sheep in Kreeri

Kreeri, Sept 12 (KNS): At least 18 sheep were killed when a speeding tipper truck, whose driver was reportedly negligent, crushed them at Burzawashan village in Kreeri area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla District.

Locals said the sheep belonged to a shepherd from Authoora, who was returning from Gulmarg with the animals when the incident occurred.

According to locals, the tipper was coming from the Sheikhpora side at high speed with only one working headlight and weak brakes.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThe truck lost control and ran over the animals as the shepherd reached the village.

A senior police official told KNS that the driver is currently on the run and will be arrested soon. “We are actively searching for him, and he will be apprehended very shortly,” the official added.

The incident has left local residents shocked and grieving the loss of livestock, which many depend on for their livelihood.(KNS)
