Poonch, Sep 26 (KNS): Terming the decision of National Conference to boycott Urban Local Body (ULB) elections and Panchayat elections as a bold step, NC leader Ajaz Jan said that step has been taken by party to save state's identity and also asked BJP headed Government of India to come clear on its stand over Article 35A.
NC leader and Party's Youth Wing Provincial President Ajaz Jan was addressing during a meeting convened during his day long tour in Saujiyan border belt in Poonch.
Addressing a meeting of party cadre and local people, Jan said that Article 35-A is identity of Jammu and Kashmir and some forces are hell bent to damage it but NC cadre will be first and main hurdle in their move while he termed poll boycott decision as a bold one.

Questioning silence of BJP headed GoI on the issue, Jan asked BJP leadership to come clear on its stand over Article 35-A and not to play dual game.
He also said that people living on the LoC in Rajouri and Poonch were termed as ‘Strategic Assets’ by Union Home Minister but Government has ignored them and even their alone source of communication in LoC villages, i.e. VLL phones have been closed.
Earlier, locals of the area highlighted a number of problems prevailing in the area.
