Demands immediate stop of arrests, deferment of exams

Srinagar, Oct 26 (KNS): Opposition National Conference (NC) on Wednesday took to streets against the arrest spree in Kashmir and pitched for the dialogue process in Kashmir.
The protesters led by the party’s General Secretary and MLA Khanyar, Ali Muhammad Sagar assembled at the party headquarter, Nawa-i-Subh to Chief Minister’s Gupkar residence.
The protesting activists and leaders were chanting slogans like ‘Pellet Bullet Na Bhai Na’ outside the CM’s residence and were holding placards displaying ‘Stop mass arrests’ and ‘Start dialogue process.’
While pitching for the dialogue process to address the Kashmir issue, the party demanded an immediate end to mass arrests and the ransacking of residential houses.
Sagar said, “The promises made by the ruling PDP party proved hoax. The party failed to fulfill its promises done with the people of Kashmir.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel”
He said that “the party has filled its party symbol, Inkpot, with the blood of Kashmiris.”
While holding PDP responsible for the killings in Kashmir, the government should put an immediate end to the killings, and use of deadly weapons like pellet guns in Kashmir.
While referring to the issue of exams, MLA Khanyar said that the party supports the demands of the students.
Notably, the students are demanding the deferment of examinations of class 10 and 12.
Meanwhile, terming the sacking of government employees as ‘political revenge’, Sagar said, “The government should immediate revoke the termination of the government employees.”
It is worth to mention here that party’s provisional president, Nasir Aslam Wani, MLA Eidgah, Mubarak Gul, Mustafa Kamal, Sakina Ittoo and others also participated in the protest march. (KNS)
