New Delhi, Feb 6 (KNS) : National Conference leader and Member of Parliament Chowdry Mohammad Ramzan on Friday urged the Centre to extend the railway network in Kashmir from Baramulla to the frontier district of Kupwara and Karnah. He stated that this extension would provide a reliable transport alternative to a region which frequently becomes isolated due to heavy snowfall.
Raising the issue in Parliament, Ramzan highlighted the severe winter hardships faced by the local population when road connectivity is severed.
Speaking to news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS), the MP said, "The border district faces immense difficulties, particularly in handling medical emergencies involving pregnant women and critically ill patients during the winter months.
