Srinagar, May 03 (KNS): National Conference Legal Cell on Wednesday convened a special condolence meetings at Party Head Office, ‘Nawa-e-Subha’ in Srinagar to pay tribute to Former SHRC Member/Chairman and NC Legal Cell Secretary, Advocate Rafiq Fida who passed away in Srinagar.
The meeting was presided over by NC Legal Cell Chairman and former Advocate General of J&K Advocate Mohammad Ishaq Qadri and was attended by Senior Functionaries of the Legal Cell including District President Legal Cell Anantnag Advocate Mohammad Abbas Dar, District President Legal Cell Baramulla Advocate Shahid Ali Shah, District President Legal Cell Pulwama Advocate Abdul Rashid Nengroo, District President Legal Cell Budgam Advocate Mohammad Shafi, District President Legal Cell Srinagar Advocate Abdul Aziz Teli, District President Legal Cell Kupwara Advocate Haji Mohammad Sultan, Senior Members Advocates Mushtaq A. Chashoo, Hilal Akbar Lone, Ali Mohammad Dar, Shabir Ahmed Khan, Suhail Ahmed Mir, Rafiq Bakshi, Mohammad Yusuf Dar, Bashir Ahmed Khan, Shabir Ahmed Kulay, Shuja-ul-Haque Tantray, Mohammad Ashraf Thoker, Tariq Ahmed Lone, Abdul Rehman Zargar, Usman Gani Bhat and Bikram Deep Singh.
Advocate Rafiq Fida was Secretary National Conference Legal Cell and a Former Member/Chairman of the State Human Rights Commission (SHRC).Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe was elected as a Municipal Corporator in Srinagar Municipal Corporation from Srinagar and later on nominated as a Government Advocate in the Honourable High Court of Jammu and Kashmir. Rafiq Fida was subsequently appointed as the Chairman Land Development Bank and finally Member/Chairman of the J&K State Human Rights Commission. He is survived by his wife who is a retired teacher, his son who is a senior veterinary surgeon in the State and a daughter who is a practicing lawyer in the J&K High Court.
The Chairman NC Legal Cell, Senior Advocate and Former Advocate General of J&K, Advocate Mohammad Ishaq Qadri paid glowing tributes to Late Rafiq Fida and highlighted his contributions to the party in general and the NC legal cell in particular and said his demise had created a void that would be hard to fill.
The NC legal cell functionaries and members spoke about Late Rafiq Fida’s dedication and commitment to the principles of justice and service and expressed their solidarity with the bereaved family. (KNS)
