Banihal; June 5 (KNS);  National Conference leader and District President Ramban Sajjad Shaheen today urged upon the party workers to reach out to the people and help them to mitigate the problems faced by them on day to day basis particularly in far flung areas. 

While addressing a one day party workers convention in Hargam, Mangit a remote village in Khari tehsil of  Banihal constituency, Shaheen pointed out that  Nowadays, people living in remote areas are facing a great crisis due to administrative inertia by the present dispensation, adding that the administration is clueless about the problems of the people live in remote and far flung areas. 
 
He met scores of people during his tour to Mangit in Sarachi, Kuthji, Armdaka, Hargam, Mangit and also interacted with party workers during the day-long tour. The locals apprised him about the dilapidated condition of Banihal-Mangit road, erratic power supply in far-off areas besides lack of health care facilities in their villages and demanded new transformer at Mangit. 
 The people also complained about the scarcity of drinking water in several villages in the area. People also demanded the construction of an all-weather Bawa to Magit road that will connect the majority population living in these villages throughout the year.
 
Shaheen said the bad condition of Banihal -Mangit road has badly impacted mobility and added to the misery of the people living in these remote villages and demanded black toping of left over 6 kms road from Branmarg to Hargam Mangit. 
 
Expressing grave concern over the inability of the local administration in clearing the bottlenecks on the construction of Bawa- Mangit road and Seeran-Sarachi road, the NC leader urged the R&B Department to take up the construction work on an immediate basis.
 
Scores of political workers from various parties joined National conference in Mangit. Shaheen urged the party workers to take the  agenda of the party to every house hold and strengthen the party at the grassroots level.

Shaheen while welcoming the new entrants into the party fold said that National conference aims at empowerment of J&K people and the unification of like-minded people for this purpose is of utmost importance. He urged the party workers to work  collectively to bring a positive change in the lives of common masses by empowering them in all the aspects of their lives. 
He said that Jammu and Kashmir requires peace, prosperity and empowerment and this is only possible when we join hands for this noble purpose.
 
District vice president Abdul Aziz Pachu, Block vice president Khari Mohd Anwar Naik, Abdul Gani Wani, youth block president Shabir Ahmed Naik,  Halqa President Abdul Rahman Dar, Mohd Isaq Bhat, Jabar Ahmed Mir besides Mohammad Ibrahim, Mohd Shafi Naik Mahu, Khalid Makhdoomi, Riyaz Gul, Atta Mohd Foji, Nisar Ahmed Kutey, Gulzar Ahmed Bhat , Abdul Satar Line, Abdul Hamid Khan, Alif din Naik, Gh Hassan Dar, Shabir Ahmed Naik, Abdul Rashid Naik, Jamldin  Mir, Jamaldin Foji ,Sadam Hussain, Mohd Yousaf Bhat and others accompanied the leader.(KNS)
