Srinagar, May 16 (KNS): Hours after the minor girl from Handwara spoke to media rubbishing the police and army statements, Opposition National Conference (NC) demanded a judicial probe into the whole Handwara incident.
Addressing reporters here, NC General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar said that the government should order a judicial probe into the Handwara incident so that the reality is presented before the people.
Sagar said the girl in a press conference today has rubbished all the statements which the police and army have given thus far.
“The girl has presented the whole picture before media. So far whatever has been claimed by the police and army has been refuted by the girl.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelSo all this has become a mixture of confusion, and no one knows anything,” Sagar said.
The NC leader said that because of the confusion prevailing over the Handwara incident, the party is demanding a judicial probe to present reality before the people.
Sagar said that National Conference that the special status of the state is under attack because of the proposed Sainik colonies, new Industrial Policy and establishment of separate clusters for Kashmiri Pandits.
“We will raise all these issues which endanger Article 370 and special status of the state in the upcoming Assembly session,” he said. (KNS)
