Poonch, Apr 24 (KNS): A delegation of National Conference, Poonch Unit today called on District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz Asad and listed various issues pertaining to common masses.
Led by Youth National Conference Provincial President and former MLA, Ajaz Jan, the delegation expressed concern over dysfunctional utility services, especially power and drinking water in various areas besides poor health services across Poonch Constituency. The delegation referred to chronic delays in repairing of transformers in the area during summers and sought a mechanism to have these in place out of the transformer bank.
The NC delegation demanded construction of bunkers in all the forward areas along LoC be constructed at the earliest, keeping in view unabated and continuous cross border shelling, jeopardizing lives of the residents.
The delegation also expressed anguish over non-distribution of solar lights released by the previous State government in 2014 and sought their proper distribution by rising above party politics so that these lights reach the genuine beneficiaries.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
They also demanded revamp in the health services, by plugging loopholes and making available medicines and other diagnostic facilities besides filling up of the vacancies. They particularly referred to non-availability of ambulances, saying some of these remain off the road for want of repairs. They raised the issue of release of salaries to drivers that also affects the mobility in the health services. They demanded immediate functioning of the CT scan machine by placing necessary technical staff at the hospital.
The deputation also listed repairs and upgradation of various road projects and said these are needed to be completed in a time bound manner.
Giving patient hearing to all the issues, DDC Poonch Mohd Aijaz assured that these issues will be taken on priority. (KNS)
