Srinagar, 19 January (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Party President, Member of Parliament Dr Farooq Abdullah and Mr. Omar Abdullah on Tuesday expressed profound grief over the demise of noted journalist and editor of local Urdu Daily Wadi Ki Awaz Ghulam Nabi Shaida, who breathed his last today after being unwell for past many years.

 In their condolence message Issued to news agency-kashmir news service(KNS), the Party President and Vice President expressed unison with the bereaved family members and prayed for eternal repose to the departed soul in the highest echelons of Jannah. The duo said the deceased has left deep imprints on account of his writings in the field of Urdu Journalism in Kashmir. Terming Shaida Shahib’s death a great loss to the media fraternity in Kashmir, they recalled his affinity for socio- Cultural activities, saying that well-rounded personality of the deceased would remember for his immense contribution in the field of journalism, culture, and literature. In his demise, the valley has lost a bold and courageous voice, the duo said.

Meanwhile Party General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, MP Anantnag Hasnain Masoodi, and Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar have also condoled the demise of Shaida Sahib, prayed for peace to his soul and fortitude to the bereaved family members.  The functionaries have also expressed solidarity with the bereaved family of the deceased in their hour of grief.

 Meanwhile Party General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, former speaker Mubarak Gul and Ghulam Nabi Shaheen have expressed profound sorrow over the demise of the wife of noted Socio-Political personality of Shah Mohallah, Nawa Bazar Shahar-e-Khas late Muhammad Ismail. Gul and Shaheen also talked to the bereaved family members of deceased over phone and expressed their sympathies with them in their hour of grief.

Sagar and Gul also expressed sorrow over the demise of noted Socio-political Personality Khawaja Muhammad Yasin Dar. The deceased was the son of renowned Socio-Political leader and a longer associate and follower of Sher-e-Kashmir Muhammad Kamal Dar of Bulbul Lanker. The leaders have prayed for peace to the departed soul and much needed strength to the bereaved to bear the inconsolable loss(KNS).
