Srinagar, Feb 20 (KNS): National Conference (NC) on Saturday condemned the attack on Karwani Islami chief, Ghulam Rasool Hami and asked police to take strict against the culprits.
In a tele-statement to KNS, NC Provisional President, Nasir Aslam Wani said that the person who attacked Islamic cleric should be dealt with strictly. “We should respect an Islamic cleric instead of attacking him,” he said.
He said that Police should take strong note against such kind of persons who even forget to respect Islamic jurists.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“The attack on Islamic jurist is intolerable. We should respect the Islamic preachers,” he said.
Hami was attacked by some youth when he was on the way to his home alongwith his family members at Barthana HMT Srinagar.
A case vide no 40/2016 under section 341, 323,332 was registered against the accused after which a youth has been arrested for assaulting Islamic cleric, reports said. (KNS)
