National Conference Thursday while reacting to the hanging of 1993 Mumbai blast convict Yaqob Memon said if his mortal remains have been handed over his families, “why the government is in a denial mode over returning the remains of Afzal Guru.”
Talking to KNS, senior NC leader and Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani said the party would not comment over the legality involved behind sending Memon to gallows “but would like to question the procedure in which his mortal remains were handed over his family and Guru’s were not.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel”
“How come Guru’s remains are being denied and there seems a no way out so that he could have a proper burial in his native place. We will not comment over why Memon was hanged and how he was hanged. Our only question is that if Government of India can hand over Memon’s remains to his family, why that of the Afzal Guru is being denied,” Nasir said.
