Srinagar, May 01 (KNS): Jammu Kashmir National Front chairman and Hurriyat leader, Nayeem Ahmad Khan today visited Haihama Payar village in Kupwara district to exhibit solidarity with the close relatives of resistance leader, Amanullah Khan who recently passed away in Rawalpindi Pakistan. Some of the close relatives Rustom Khan and Nazim Khan are residing in the said north Kashmir village.
Nayeem Ahmad Khan while lauding the role of late Amanullah Khan assured his relatives that late leader’s mission of freedom from India will be taken to its logical conclusion.
He paid rich and glowing tributes to late Amanullah Khan saying his role in the ongoing freedom struggle will always be remembered with high dignity and honour. Nayeem Ahmad Khan told the gathering that resistance movement needs to be nourished with sincerity, dedication and commitment so that future generation may breathe in a free and fearless atmosphere with respect and decorum.
Nayeem Ahmad Khan was accompanied by a high level delegation including Tariq Ahmad Mir, Mohammad Rafiq, Mohammad Hanief and others.
Earlier, Nayeem Ahmad Khan went to meet the victim families of recently martyred Nayeem Qadir, Mohammad Iqbal, Jehangir Ahmad, Aarif Hussain and Raja Begum at Handwara, Havoora, Dagmulla, Nagri and Langate.
He exhibited solidarity with the victim families and the parents of the martyrs. On the occasion, Nayeem Ahmad Khan paid tributes to the martyrs and praised the role of the people of district Kupwara in the freedom struggle. “Though Kupwara is a highly militarized area and the people living here remain under a constant threat of the occupied forces but the freedom loving people have nourished the struggle with their sacrifices and steadfastness,” Nayeem Ahmad Khan said.
He lashed out at occupied forces and said that they have a mission to kill and harm Kashmiri Muslims so that the resistance movement is weakened, however, Nayeem Ahmad Khan said that sacrifices of the people like Kupwara district will be safeguarded come what may.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He remembered Shaheed Nayeem Qadir, Shaheed Mohammad Iqbal, Shaheed Jehangir Ahmad, Shaheed Aarif Hussain and Shaheeda Raja Begum and said that they have showed the path of respect to the people of Kashmir by laying down their lives for the honour and dignity of one of our daughters.
Rejecting the drama of the so called government inquiry, Nayeem Ahmad Khan said that such inquiry commissions are aimed at shielding the culprits. “It is not the first inquiry commission set up by the so called governments, I ask the authorities the fate of hundreds of such useless commissions,” Nayeem Ahmad Khan said adding “this all is a drama staged to save the criminals.”Nayeem Ahmad Khan said that recent incidents of Handwara which resulted in the martyrdom of five unarmed civilians clearly showed the lawlessness of the land which is occupied by India on the basis of military might. “Everybody knows who killed the innocent civilians so what is to be inquired,” Nayeem Ahmad Khan asked.
He said that it is highly condemnable that the killers are still roaming free and the so called government is claiming to provide justice to the victim families. “This is shameful on part of the so called government that it is not arresting the killer personnel but issues statements to provide justice to the victim families only to deceive people,” Nayeem Ahmad Khan said.
Nayeem Ahmad Khan added that New Delhi and its local collaborators are killing, massacring, victimising and targeting Kashmiris in the same way as it was done by former autocratic rulers. He said that present day Kashmir can simply be termed as a police state where everything is decided by the men in uniform. “Even religious rights are denied to Kashmiri Muslims and they are not allowed to pray and mourn,” Nayeem Ahmad Khan said.
