Srinagar, Apr 18 (KNS): Jammu Kashmir National Front chairman, and Hurriyat leader Nayeem Ahmad Khan has paid rich and glowing tributes to Shaheed S Hamid on his martyrdom anniversary. Shaheed S Hamid, was arrested by government forces and killed in custody in Soura area of Srinagar one and a half decade ago.
Remembering the great politician and intellectual, Nayeem Ahmad Khan said during his continuous house detention that Shaheed S Hamid was an icon of the freedom struggle and among the founders of Hurriyat Conference.“The occupied forces martyred Shaheed S Hamid at his residence at Ahmad Nagar, to damage the freedom movement on the intellectual front but time has proved that by the sacrifices of our great martyrs like Shaheed S Hamid, the freedom movement has become so strong,” Nayeem Ahmad Khan said adding, “Despite the dirty designs of the occupying forces the ideological heirs of the martyrs are still on path of resistance and freedom.”
Terming Shaheed S Hamid as a leader with vision, Nayeem Ahmad Khan said that he will always be remembered for his dedication, sincerity and love for freedom. Nayeem Ahmad Khan sent a party delegation to Mazar-e-Shuhada, Eid Gah to offer prayers at the grave of Shaheed S Hamid.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Condemning atrocities on people after martyring five civilians in Kupwara district, Nayeem Ahmad Khan said that the champions of the so called democracy do not allow subjugated Kashmiris even to mourn. Nayeem Khan again expressed shock and grief over the cold blooded murder of young Nayeem Qadir, Iqbal Ahmad, Jehangir Ahmad, Arif Hussain and Raja Begum. He said that martyr’s blood will not go waste and time is not far when occupied forces will leave Jammu Kashmir and people living here will bear fruit of their sacrifices. Nayeem Ahmad Khan strongly condemned the curfew and restrictions imposed in north and central Kashmir after the cold blooded murder five unarmed civilians.
Meanwhile, Nayeem Ahmad Khan condoled Ghulam Mohammad Nagu of Unjaman-e-Sharya Shian on the sad demise of his mother. On the directions of Nayeem Ahmad Khan a National Front delegation also visited the residence of Ghulam Mohammad Nagu and delivered the condolence message of Nayeem Ahmad Khan.
Nayeem Ahmad Khan also condoled senior resistance leader, Mohammad Farooq Rahmani on the passing away of his cousin, Mohammad Amin Rehmani. Nayeem Ahmad Khan prayed for both the deceased. (KNS)
